Pune: Tata Projects has secured a major contract from a global automotive manufacturer for its greenfield plant at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
The contract marks a significant expansion of Tata Projects into automotive infrastructure and strengthens its position as a partner for complex industrial projects.
The project is located in the Auric-Bidkin industrial area and will cover three critical packages — the Assembly Shop, Press & Weld Shop, and Utility & Support Buildings.
The scope awarded includes civil, structural and architectural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems, utility networks, as well as testing, commissioning and handover.
The integrated scope will require coordination across multiple engineering disciplines and construction workstreams to support efficient execution and seamless integration of the facility’s core production and supporting infrastructure.
Tata Projects Expands Advanced Manufacturing Portfolio
The contract builds on Tata Projects’ growing capabilities in advanced manufacturing infrastructure. The company has experience across semiconductor facilities, battery plants, data centres and other technology-intensive projects.
Automotive manufacturing facilities require engineering precision, construction coordination and interface management.
The quality and sequencing of infrastructure delivery are important to the transition from construction to production.
With the new contract, Tata Projects is expanding its presence in the automotive sector while leveraging its multidisciplinary engineering, procurement and construction capabilities for a large-scale manufacturing facility.
